Mia Van Den Heever has developed a love for food at a very young age. In 2020, she enrolled at the Institute of Culinary Arts in Stellenbosch. During her time at the ICA, Mia had the privilege of working at Eike by Bertus Basson, and The Melting Pot under mentor John Van Zyl.
"Over the years, I’ve also been inspired by my travels and the food I’ve experienced along the way — flavours, ideas, and ingredients that have shaped how I cook and see food today".
Now, after completing her studies, getting married and settling down in the Northern Cape, Mia is ready for a new challenge - bringing good, honest quality food with intention to Kakamas.
